Airlines
Which airline will I fly with for my Apple Vacation?
That will vary depending on where you are departing from and your destination. Apple uses many different carriers for its charter flights, in addition to other major airlines available when you choose scheduled air service.
Is there a difference between charter and scheduled air packages?
The term "charter" refers to aircraft used specifically to transport Apple Vacations customers to eight major sun destinations. Charter flights are generally non-stop, and you have more time to enjoy the destination instead of traveling to get there. Most Apple Vacations charter flights also offer complimentary in-flight beverages. Another benefit is that your luggage will be removed quickly from the aircraft and will be ready to board your resort transfer once you arrive. Apple Vacations strives to make your vacation experience the best possible, by managing the charter process from the time you check in at the airport, until you arrive at your resort.
Apple Vacations also offers scheduled air packages to every major sun destination. "Scheduled Air" refers to the transportation portion of your vacation that includes major airlines with schedules at various times and days of the week. Apple Vacations offers scheduled air packages to those destinations where they do not offer charter service; and also to complement their charter schedules to those destinations where they do offer charter service but need additional seats due to demand. Scheduled air packages give you the most flexibility in departure and arrival times when traveling to a destination.
AVOK - Total Vacation Security
What is the price of AVOK?
AVOK is $49 pp for 4 nights or less and $59 pp for 5 nights or more. Remember, AVOK is not applicable for groups of 15 or more, cruises or ski packages.
Is AVOK pre or post departure coverage?
AVOK has 3-part coverage. AVOK is a vacation security plan that combines a pre-departure Cancellation Waiver provided by Apple Vacations with Post-Departure Travel Insurance Benefits. In addition AVOK clients are given a best price guarantee and are able to claim the savings if the exact same vacation package is advertised for a lower price.
Am I covered by AVOK on the day of departure, and when does Pre-departure coverage end and AVOK's Post-departure Tour Guard Travel Insurance coverage begin?
Travelers who purchase AVOK can cancel up until the time of departure. Please note: "No Shows" are not covered. You MUST notify us or Apple Vacations directly to cancel. Call 1-800-860-2865 if we are closed at the time of your departure. AVOK's Tour Guard Travel Insurance Post-Departure Trip Interruption coverage begins on the departure date when the travelers are on their trip (i.e. upon boarding the aircraft).
If I purchase AVOK and do a *name change (not a name correction) do I need to re-purchase AVOK?
Since AVOK is not transferable to the new booking, the following applies:

What if the number of traveling clients on a record decreases?
The remaining travelers will be responsible for additional costs incurred as a result of a change in the per person occupancy rate, unless cancelled passenger is under 100% penalty.
Vacation Certificates are valid for one year. When does that one year begin?
The date of issue. Vacation Certificates must be applied to a booking before they expire. However, the travel date can be after the Vacation Certificate expiration date.
If I need to cancel a trip at the last minute and Apple Vacations is closed, what should I do?
To cancel your trip at any time, please contact AV-Specials.com as soon as possible. After business hours or on a holiday when we are closed, Last Minute Cancellations can call 1-866-860-AVOK (2865). This number should only be used if we are closed. You can leave a message at any point prior to your flight departure if you choose to cancel, and you will get a full refund in Vacation Certificates.
I already purchased my vacation, and now the price has gone even lower! How do I take advantage of Apple's "Best Price Guarantee"?
"Best Price Guarantee" is available only when you purchase the AVOK plan. Have your agent call the Apple Customer Service desk, where they will check for the current price on the identical package that you have booked. If this price is lower than the booked tour, you get the better price. It's that easy!
What happens if a participant is deceased?
In the event of death, AVOK will provide for a full cash refund.

Does Apple Vacations travel anyplace other than the Caribbean and Mexico?
Yes! We also offer packages to Costa Rica, Bermuda, Hawaii, Las Vegas and the Ski Resorts of the Denver, Colorado area. Did you know that Apple Vacations brings more passengers each week to Cancun than any other airline?
Can I book just the hotel portion of your packages?
You can book a land only package to any of Apple's destinations for anywhere from 2 to 14 nights!

What does the Apple Rating beside the hotel name mean?
Apple Ratings are designed to help you choose the hotel that best suits your needs and your budget. They represent the level of service and amenities available to customers at each hotel that Apple offers. Here's a list of the Apple Ratings and what they mean:
- 6 Apple - A deluxe hotel offering a variety of entertainment, dining and sports facilities.
- 5 Apple - An excellent hotel with fine accommodations and facilities.
- 4 Apple - A resort hotel with good selection of facilities.
- 3 Apple - A comfortable hotel with simple accommodations and public areas.
- 2 Apple - A modest hotel with limited choice of amenities.
- 1 Apple - A basic budget hotel with few public areas or amenities.
What are Golden Apple hotels?
Yes. Current requirements for US citizens are: either a valid US Passport or a state issued birth certificate with a raised seal and a valid, government-issued, photo ID (such as a driver's license). Voter registration cards and baptismal certificates are not acceptable. Travelers to Margarita Island must show a valid US Passport only. Persons born outside of the US should contact their local consulate or embassy before they travel for exact citizenship requirements.
What if I need assistance or have an emergency while on vacation?
Apple Vacations has over 450 Apple Representatives in-resort throughout the destinations they service. They are available to help with any special needs you may have.
Proof of citizenship
Will I need to show some proof of citizenship when I travel outside of the United States?
Yes. Current requirements for US citizens are: either a valid US Passport or a state issued birth certificate with a raised seal and a valid, government-issued, photo ID (such as a driver's license). Voter registration cards and baptismal certificates are not acceptable. Travelers to Margarita Island must show a valid US Passport only. Persons born outside of the US should contact their local consulate or embassy before they travel for exact citizenship requirements.
Will I need to show identification when I travel within the US?
Yes. You will be required to show a government issued photo identification card when checking in at the airport. A photo driver's license or passport is acceptable.

Can I book my vacation directly with Apple Vacations?
Apple is a wholesale tour operator that sells vacation packages only through accredited travel agencies such as AV-Specials.com. By doing so, they ensure that you receive professional advice and detailed service every step of the way.
What exactly is included in an 'All-Inclusive' package?
All-Inclusive means that your package price covers roundtrip airfare, baggage handling, resort transfers to and from the destination's airport, hotel accommodations, services of an Apple Representative in-resort, non-motorized watersports, and all meals, drinks, hotel taxes and gratuities.
What is included when I book a regular Apple Vacation?
Your package price includes roundtrip airfare, baggage handling, resort transfers to and from the destination's airport, services of an Apple Representative in-resort, and hotel accommodations, taxes and gratuities.
